THE victim of a murder in Popley last week has been named in court.
The 22-year-old was found with a serious injury in Abbey Road, near the junction with Popley Way, on Wednesday January 19.
He was taken to Basingstoke hospital and was later pronounced dead.
He has today (Monday, January 24) been named as Troy Stuart Harkness at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
Police have charged 25-year-old Jordan Graham Clarke from Basingstoke in connection with the incident.

In court this morning, the charge of "murder in relation to Troy Stuart Harkness" was read aloud but Mr Clarke appeared only to confirm his name, age and address.
The case has been sent to Winchester Crown Court, with Mr Clarke's first appearance due to be heard tomorrow (Tuesday, January 25).
He has been remanded in custody.
