A BASINGSTOKE man charged with murder after a man died in Popley is due to enter his plea today (May 3).
Police were called around 10.45pm on Wednesday, January 19, following a report of a 22-year-old man having been found with a serious injury in Abbey Road, near the junction with Popley Way.
He was taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead. His family are being supported.
Jordan Graham Clarke, 25, of no fixed abode, has been charged with the murder of Troy Stuart Harkness.

His address was later stated as no fixed abode at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.
He appeared by video link at Winchester Crown Court on Tuesday, January 25, wearing a yellow and green jacket and represented by Richard Martin.
Representing the prosecution was Kerry Maylin.
The case was adjourned for a pre-trial plea hearing at the same court, and a provisional three-week trial has been scheduled to begin on July 18.
Clarke was remanded in custody.
