A HOMEBUILDER have submitted a request for screening opinion for residential development of up to 220 dwelling in Kingsclere.
Vistry Group are looking to build new houses on a land adjoining Porch Farm on Newbury Road in Kingsclere.
According to the screening opinion document 40 per cent of the new dwellings will be provided as affordable housing.
The developer are aiming to submit the initial outline planning application in the first financial quarter of this year, with future reserved matters submissions to follow.

If approved, it is anticipated that construction will commence in 2023 and extend for a period of approximately 48 months thereafter.
Vistry and their consultant team, led by Boyer Planning, are engaged in pre-application discussions with BDBC. Separate pre-application submissions have been made to Hampshire County Council.
The site was promoted for development through the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s ‘Call for Sites’ consultation in 2019 with permission from the landowner and continued to be promoted via the 'Issues and Options' consultation in late 2020.
The consultation said: “The site promoter had previously suggested a yield of 250 dwellings. However, through the issues and options consultation in 2020 the submission from the site promoter referred to a figure of 180 units, supported by a vision document and site analysis. Consequently, the anticipated yield has been updated accordingly.”
