HUNDREDS of books will be hidden around Basingstoke this weekend.
The books will be around Chineham and Old Basing from February 12 to February 13 for children to discover.
They have been placed around town by Night Owls Book Nest, who hope children will take the books home to read.

A spokesperson from Night Owls Book Nest, said: “Hundreds of books will be hidden around Chineham and Old Basing this weekend, for children to find.
“There are books for children young and old. If you happen to find one nestled amongst the wildlife, take it home to read - you may even win a prize.
“Once you have finished with the book, it can then be re-hidden for someone else to find.”

If a gold ticket is found inside a book those who find it will be able to exchange the ticket for a prize.
Residents are encouraged to put the book back after they have finished reading it for others to find.
