A LOVING wife from Basingstoke is raising money for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance after her husband was seriously injured in a collision last week.
Clair Ramshaw set up the fundraising page on Facebook to raise money for the Air Ambulance after they airlifted her husband, 57-year-old Les Ramshaw to hospital following a collision on February 10.

Police were called to Pamber End at 11.07am following reports of a collision that involved a car and motorcycle.
Clair said: “I was receiving overwhelming support via Facebook from the local community following the incident and wanted to pull something positive from it, call it a distraction until I know my husband is on the road to recovery not just surviving.
“As an avid Horse Rider the Air Ambulance has been a charity that’s always been close to my heart and I support them when ever possible. Without them on scene last Thursday my husband may well have died. So I decided that knowing so few people actually realise the air ambulance is a charity and not a government funded resource I wanted to lets say take advantage of a wide audience.”
Clair said Les, who lives in Winklebury and works for the Ministry of Defence, is ”a lifelong very experienced motorcyclist” who had been planning his first bike tour down to Portugal this year.
He suffered multiple injuries and still remains in hospital.
Clair was overwhelmed with the kindness that passers-by showed her husband following the collision.

She added: “We also have someone's beanie hat that was loaned to keep my husband warm trying to track down the owner of that also. Air Ambulance prompt attendance to airlift him to Southampton General to receive the best of care was, without doubt, a huge reason he’s still fighting.”
Clair is currently just £75 away from the £1,500 target she has set on the fundraising page.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Police, said: “Enquiries into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing.”
