A WOMAN was rescued after a tree fell on a car on the main road between Overton and Basingstoke.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the B3400 near Oakley Hall at 5.41pm.
A fire service spokesperson said crews from Basingstoke, Overton and Whitchurch were called to the scene after the tree fell on the car.
They added: "Firefighters rescued one female from the vehicle and handed her into the care of paramedics."
Local reports suggested that there are two fire engines and an ambulance on the scene.
Police and ambulance service have been contacted for more information.
