A YOUNG mother who has given birth to twins is unable to bring them home after her house was "declared uninhabitable" due to mould.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jacqueline Conduct, who lives in Cambrian Way, Buckskin in Basingstoke gave birth to twins Bella Rose and Matilda on December 3 at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
She has been living in the property for six years and since moving in Jacqueline has been inundated with problems but the biggest one is the sheer amount of mould that covers the property.

She said: “There are just loads of problems with it, there is mould, damp and everything is just rotting away at the moment. It is just so worrying for me because I have just given birth to twins who are premature and came 13 weeks early. The hospital has told me they will be allowed to come out in around two weeks.
“The hospital has said they will not let the twins come out of the hospital to live in the house I am currently in because it could be detrimental to their health.”
The problem has become so bad that it has even ruined some of her possessions.
She added: "I have spent thousands of pounds replacing my property and furniture that has been destroyed by the mould. I have had to replace carpets and sofas and beds and personal belongings that are irreplaceable that have been destroyed."
Since the birth of her children, she has been in close communication with Sovereign Housing to find a new place to live.
Matt Hensby, regional director of housing for Sovereign, added: “We’re aware of the repairs needed and we’ve been talking with Ms Conduct about the best time to do these, whilst also agreeing a longer-term solution that she feels works for them as a new family.
“There is no question of eviction, and we are trying to find a temporary place for them to stay that suits them, whilst we complete the work.”

Despite this Jacqueline still feels nothing has been done and has spoken to "at least 14 people" from Sovereign to try and sort the problem so she can bring up her twins in a safe home.
She added: “I Have been battling to try and sort this problem out and be placed in a new home but just nothing has been done, they always seem to have some excuse.
“It is just infuriating now and instead of spending time with my twins I am having to spend all my time fighting to find a new home, I feel like I am missing out.
“I just want a safe home I can bring them back to.”
