A CHARITY that supports heroes of Hampshire Hospitals has launched a new website to put the spotlight on how individuals, local companies and community organisations can help and support its goals.
Hampshire Hospitals Charity (HHC), which supports local heroes of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT), launched its new website on Valentine's Day.
The website https://www.hampshirehospitalscharity.org/ focuses on the HHC’s mission and the message ‘Together, We CARE’.
The charity aims to raise funds for, and awareness of, the HHFT corporate trust charity which delivers support for staff and patients by funding enhanced physical and wellbeing care and resources above and beyond what the NHS can provide.
It also highlights the impact that donations have enabled the charity to improve the quality of hospital life for staff and patients, including enhancing the environment at HHFT’s hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester.
Steve Erskine, chair of HHFT and HHC, said: “We are delighted to unveil our new Hampshire Hospitals Charity website. This is an important milestone in raising greater awareness of the work that the charity does and the impact and difference that generous supporters make.
“One of the initiatives that the website spotlights is HHC’s ‘£10 for HHFT10’ campaign that has been launched to mark, and celebrate, HHFT’s 10th birthday. Throughout 2022, ‘£10 for HHFT10’ will be showcasing how small donations can go a long way by making a telling difference to HHFT’s NHS hospital heroes and the patients they care for.”
Alex Whitfield, chief executive of HHFT and an HHC trustee, said: “Thank you to everyone who supports HHC through the ‘£10 for HHFT10’ campaign or by supporting any of the 178 HHC ward and department funds that help and support our staff and patients.
“Your donations really make a difference. HHC is striving to raise at least £1million a year to ensure that we can provide increased care and support to staff and patients above and beyond what the NHS can deliver, including better outdoor and rest spaces, equipment, and enhancing the environment and experience for everyone in our hospitals.”
