THE theme for Basingstoke Gazette Camera Club for February was ‘Love’.
Although it is the Valentine’s Day month we told the camera club members to share photos of all kinds of love – whether it be motherly, sibling or animal love.
We received some fantastic entries, among which some are featured here.
While Alli Ross shared a brilliant photo of the love between her daughter and grandson, Pam Denton found a bit of love even on a potato.
Experimenting with light photography, Darren Burton shared some fantastic photos in the theme.
Darren wrote: “I ‘Love’ photography and the endless fun you can have with it.
“It’s all about light with photography, mainly how you use it on a subject.
“Here, the light is the subject, long exposures of 15 seconds, enough time to write some words. Done with a camera and Lightsaber keyring.”
The photo shared by Anna Mikulich also stood out from the entries. With the help of a little editing, Anna managed to share a photo of a plane flying through a cloud – looking like an arrow passing through a symbol of heart.
It is free and easy to join the camera club. Simply search Basingstoke Gazette Camera Club on Facebook and click to join.
One stunning photo from the group will feature in our Letters page each week (see page 16).
The club has a theme for each month. We share the best photos from the theme in our last edition of the month. The theme for March will be announced in the Facebook group soon.
