A BODY has been found in the search for a woman who went missing from Hook earlier this week.
On Wednesday, February 23, officers appealed for help in searching for missing person Christine Bridson, 67, who was last seen at around 7pm on Tuesday, having left her home address on Wild Herons in Hook.
This afternoon (Saturday, February 26), Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that her body has been found.
A spokesperson said: "You may recall a recent appeal to find missing Christine from Hook.
"We can confirm earlier today officers searching for her found a body on the floodplain near Griffin Way, south at the junction with Bartley Way.
"Formal identification has not yet taken place, but her next of kin have been informed.
"Our thoughts go out to Christine's family."
