A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a man who is accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a dog.
Mark Daniels is accused of failing to provide veterinary care to Beauty, a female German Shepherd, between April 7, 2021 and May 7, 2021.
The RSPCA, which brought the prosecution at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, claims that he failed to provide veterinary care for the dog’s arthritis and lack of mobility, court documents reveal.
Mr Daniels, 46, whose address is listed as the care of a property in Norn Hill, Oakridge, pleaded not guilty in January to the office.
Earlier this month, a warrant of arrest with bail was issued after he failed to attend a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court and answer to bail.
He is due to appear in court on May 17 when experts are to give evidence via a live link.
