THE Basingstoke Bison have just one game this weekend against the visiting Raiders tomorrow (6.30pm).
This is the fifth league meeting and so far every game has been won by the home team.
A winning double last weekend for the Herd moved them up to sixth in the standings, while the Raiders are in battle with the Bees for the eighth and final play-off spot.
Bison player/coach Ashley Tait said: “It was a great four point weekend for us, especially as Peterborough is never an easy place to win in.
“With just one game this weekend, we need the two points to keep us ahead of Peterborough in the standings, but we know it is not going to be easy against the Raiders, as they can beat anyone on any given night.”
The Bison are waiting to see if Adam Jones and Tom Banner will return this weekend, but their injury list was added to last Saturday, by forward George Norcliffe and defenceman Jay King.
On Sunday (4.30pm) in Basingstoke, the under-12 Bison take on Oxford.
