A “LOVING’ and “kind” daughter died accidentally after taking excess medication to help deal with shortness of breath, an inquest heard.
Tracey Baverstock, 48, from Hook, died on April 21, 2021, at her home in Tinley Gardens after taking excess medication to help manage the chronic pain she suffered due to multiple health problems.
Her family described her as “someone who would light up the room”.

They said: “We are a very close family, and she was a very loving and kind person who was much loved by her family. She would light up a room when she entered, she could help everyone young or old. She had a happy childhood and was adventurous and loved sports and dancing.”
An inquest into her death held at Winchester Coroner’s Court heard how she suffered from shortness of breath.
Senior coroner, Chris Wilkinson concluded the cause of death as “accidental”.

He said: “My view is that she was struggling with pain, and she wasn’t getting any result in terms of her breathlessness.
“She has taken some tablets feeling low and feeling the pain and she had not recognised the effect that would have, and she has gone to sleep, and the drugs become toxic in her system and caused her heart to stop.
“On balance this was unexpected and unintended and therefore I believe she died by accident.”
