A BUSINESS hub in Basingstoke has converted itself into a collection point for items for refugees from Ukraine who are fleeing the Russian war.
Absolutely Offices in Lutyens Close, Lychpit, has become a collection station and people are invited to leave donations at its Reception.
A spokesperson for Absolutely Offices, which provides serviced office space in Basingstoke, said the centre is NOT collecting clothes as there is sufficient supply at this stage.

However, the hub is urging people to urgently donate
- power banks (for charging phones)
- large and medium size backpacks
- male socks
- camping mats
- sleeping bags
- protein bars / energy bars
- painkillers (eg: ibuprofen)
- anti-flu medicine(Lemsips etc)
- wound dressing materials
- first aid kit
- warm blankets
- thermals/base layers
- hot water bottles
- insulated flasks
- baby food
- nappies
- feminine sanitary products.

The spokesperson added that the hub has an ex-serviceman who has volunteered to deliver the items to Poland at his own expense using a privately-owned ex-army lorry.
