A DRIVER who allegedly caused the death of an Andover man in a crash on the B3400 will appear in crown court next month.
Peter Gardner, 82 and of Bloswood Lane, Whitchurch, is accused of causing the death of James Tassell while driving without due care and attention on July 23, last year.
Cyclist Mr Tassell - known as Jim - 70, from Barlows Lane, Andover, was taken to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance but died of his injuries on July 28.
Gardner appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court where his case was sent to Winchester Crown Court. He will next appear at court on April 6.
