AN AWARD-WINNING Basingstoke charity that caters to older members of the community has joined hands with a school to become the educational institution’s fundraising partner.
Basingstoke Neighbourcare (BNC), which run from The Orchard on White Hart Lane, has partnered with the charity club of Richard Aldworth Community School, based on Western Way near the Brighton Hill roundabout.
The charity and the school are together organising events called the Aldworth School Charity Club's 'Good Neighbour Appeal' that will see a sponsored non-uniform day and a bake sale on Friday, March 11 and sponsored silences and athletic activities.
BNC, which helps those in genuine need in Basingstoke and surrounding areas like Tadley and Sherfield on Loddon by providing support to maintain their independence, also organised a Q&A session at the school on Tuesday, explaining what they do to support its clients.
The charity club is inviting people to make donations via a fundraiser page set up by Nick Lewis, the school’s charity coordinator.
