AWARDS celebrating those who give their time to improve the community they live in are looking to celebrate a project that makes a difference.
The Community Project category is returning for this year’s A Place to be Proud of Awards, which recognises those giving back in Basingstoke.
This category is for an individual or group (voluntary or not) who have worked hard to develop project/s or activities for the overall benefit of the community that help make Basingstoke and Deane a place that we can all be proud of.

This could be anything from support groups for vulnerable people and fundraising, to community tree planting, family fun days and awareness raising campaigns.
Nominations can be from one –off projects or on-going programmes.
Last year the category was won by the M3 Job Club and the judges said the organisation’s “work is of consistent benefit to our local area” and were “clear winners”.
The category is sponsored by production agency Face TV.
Founder and creative director Paul Friend said: “Face TV is once again delighted to be sponsoring the Community Project category at the Place to be Proud of Awards.
“It is great to be able to celebrate groups or individuals who work so hard on projects which benefit our local community in many different ways.

Nominations are free to enter and can be made online at www. destinationbasingstoke.co.uk.
