A BASINGSTOKE man will be sentenced at crown court next month for three offences, including intimidating a witness.
Steve Paddon, of Gilbert Close, has admitted to assaulting a man between February 1 and March 15 in the town.
The 41-year-old also admitted to criminal damage by damaging a shower belonging to a couple on March 14 and to threatening a witness on the same day.
Paddon will now appear at Winchester Crown Court on April 8 when he will be sentenced.
He was remanded in custody following the hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to undergo rehabilitation after he admitted to assaulting two people.
Vanien Fowler, of Deeside Place, pleaded guilty during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court to two counts of assault by beating.
On July 18, last year, the 33-year-old attacked Alex Dalwood and Sara Spreadbury in Basingstoke.
Fowler was told to complete up to 30 rehabilitation days, along with paying court costs of £25 and a £95 victim surcharge.
A MAN who assaulted one woman and damaged property belonging to another has been ordered to undergo unpaid work.
Lewis Parsons pleaded guilty to damaging the door and ceiling of a property in Andrews Close, Hook, on May 27, last week.
On the same day he assaulted another woman in Hook, which he also admitted to at a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
The 30-year-old, from Aldershot, was ordered to undergo 40 hours unpaid work. He was also told to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
TWO men have been ordered to pay compensation to the person they attacked in Basingstoke in 2020.
Mark O’Shea, 19 and of Burns Close, Basingstoke, and Paul O’Shea, 61 and of Burns Close, Farnborough, assaulted Lee Upton on July 18.
During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court they pleaded guilty to the offence.
Mark was fined £628 and told to pay £50 compensation, along with £85 court costs and a £63 victim surcharge.
Paul was fined £666 and must also pay £50 compensation to Mr Upton, along with £85 court costs and a £67 victim surcharge.
A BASINGSTOKE man who was allegedly caught with Class A drugs at Southampton Central Railway Station will stand trial.
Bradley Vickery, of Ferndown Close, is accused of being in possession of a controlled drug of Class A at the station on March 26, last year.
During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court he pleaded not guilty to the offence. The 24-year-old has now had his case sent to Winchester Crown Court and will stand trial.
He will appear at crown court on April 13.
AN 18-YEAR-old from Eversley has been ordered to complete unpaid work for assaulting an emergency worker and threatening a man.
Alistair Wilkins, of Kingsley Road, admitted to assaulting PC Alexander in Farnborough on February 20, last year.
He also pleaded guilty to pursuing a course of conduct against Mitchell White which would have caused him fear of violence between February 8 and 22, 2021.
Magistrates ordered Wilkins to complete 40 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £1,886.40 in compensation.
A restraining order was imposed from preventing him from contacting Mr White or going to an address in Farnborough.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been handed a suspended sentence for a string of thefts.
Andrew Buller, of May Place, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court after the probation service applied for a previous community order to be revoked. He failed to comply with a pre-sentence drug testing order.
He was handed an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months for stealing perfume from TK Maxx nine occasions between September 19 and November 11, last year.
Buller was also made subject of a curfew for eight weeks.
