THE multi-award winning New Old Friends are at it again with another instalment in their hugely popular crime series of comedy thrillers.
It follows their popular productions of Crimes on the Nile and Crimes on the Coast.
They will be at The Haymarket from Wednesday, April 6 to Friday, April 8 with Crimes, Camera, Action.
Crimes, Camera, Action will whisk audiences away to golden-era Hollywood, where they will be introduced to a new lead detective - a world-weary, hard-boiled private-eye in the mould of Humphrey Bogart: meet Stan Shakespeare.
The case is a screen starlet is stabbed as a result of a prop mix-up on set.
It sets in motion a typically fast paced and hilarious chain of events that sees a cast of four exceptional comic actors take on multiple roles, sometimes within the same scene.
Expect the usual New Old Friends mix of great theatrical set pieces, the quickest of quick changes, lightning-fast word play and a thrilling plot driving the action at breakneck pace.
New Old Friends are a multi award-winning company who create theatre with a desire to entertain the largest audience possible.
The company is run by Feargus Woods Dunlop and Heather Westwell.

Together they have built New Old Friends into a national touring presence producing reliable, engaging, accessible shows that make people laugh.
The pair got married in 2012 and love to work with new people from all areas of theatre.
Describing the show, they said: “It is a really fun comedy thriller set in 1940s Hollywood.
“We’re enjoying playing with the glamour of the era and the archetypal characters and tropes you find in classic cinema, and particularly film noir.
“We have a Bogart-esque private detective hired to look into the apparently accidental death of an actress and then meet all the various individuals that you find hanging around a film set.
“We’ve cooked up some really exciting set-pieces which stay true to the style of our work and the ‘Crimes…’ series.”
Tickets are priced at £23 and £12 for under 25s and full -time students .
