A MODEL engineering society will be hosting its tenth Steam Gala this weekend and it is set to provide two days of family fun entertainment.
Basingstoke and District Model Engineering Society will be holding its tenth Annual Steam Gala today and tomorrow (April 9 and 10).
There will be lots of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a steam train and traction engine rides, a tombola, and a pond for model boats.
The first Gala was held in April 2011 to show model traction engines, road vehicles and similar models in steam, operating in the open air.
The society said they know the people of Basingstoke enjoyed visiting their previous Miniature Railway Track and have been surprised by the fantastic support received since.
