The money will go a long way in supporting the charity, especially GreenFingers a garden therapy project for people with a learning disability, providing therapy through gardening and promoting mental wellbeing, who was hit quite badly by Storm Eunice a few months ago flattening their much-used Polly tunnel.
Part of the project is to provide horticulture experience to people with learning disabilities, to support in growing bedding plants, fruit, and vegetables which are available to the public at their monthly plant sales which are held the last Saturday of every month.
Its next plant sale will be on the April 30 from 10 to 1pm at Elizabeth Road Allotments it is said to bring the community together and raises much needed revenue to keep the project running.
