A BASINGSTOKE family is hoping to go sky high to raise money for a young person’s mental health charity, together with other local causes.
Tomorrow (April 16), Jamie, her partner and 16-year-old-daughter will carry out a 15,000ft parachute jump.
The Basingstoke family will be flying from Old Sarum Park airfield near Salisbury before they descend into freefall high over the Wiltshire countryside.

After taking the leap of faith and jumping from the plane, they will be in freefall for at least one minute.
The family hopes to raise at least £500 for two principal charities and a school including Young Minds, a mental health charity for children, young people and their parents, Heart Radio Make Some Noise which supports 100 small charities in local communities across the UK as well as the Brighton Hill School in Basingstoke.
Jamie, lives in Basingstoke and works as a sales administrator for Multitone Electronics in Basingstoke.
The whole family are determined to take on the scary challenge.
Jamie said: “Things are tough for many young people and their families at the moment. That is why we decided to do this parachute jump; it’s a scary thought but we are determined to do it, raising much needed funds for local charities and my daughter’s school at the same time. I can’t wait."

The family has also set up a fundraising page, which has so far raised over £300.
On the page they posted: "We and our 16 year old daughter are doing a 15000ft parachute jump on 16th April, We have decided to donate to a couple of charities that are close to our hearts.
"We have decided on Young Minds and Hearts Make some Noise, we will also give a percentage to my daughters school."
