THE winner of the Basingstoke Gazette and Andover Advertiser beauty therapist of the year contest has been announced.
Beauty and Brows on Andover High Street was declared the 2022 winner after readers voted for their favourite salon.
Owner Aman Bale said she was “really really surprised” when she heard the news.
The 43-year-old said: “We are a new business, I only started in 2019. When I was shortlisted I thought I had no chance because all the business were very established. But I am really thankful to my clients who have rallied around.
“I work hard for them, but I did not expect that they would thank me this way!”

Aman, who lives in Andover and is a mother of two sons, moved to the area in 2015 after previously living and working in London.
She began her working life as a primary school teacher in India, but says that the beauty industry was always where she wanted to be.
“This was always my passion, because my mum was a beautician. I always wanted me own salon, it’s a dream come true.”
Aman added that she prefers Andover to the hustle and bustle of the city.
“I really like it here, it’s a real community,” she said.
“It’s a great place to live with a family. You can breathe in a town, you can see.”
She hopes to host a three year anniversary celebration in July, and invite her clients to jointly celebrate this milestone and the award.
Beauty and Brows specialises in eyebrow threading, but also offers a range of other beauty treatments.
