THE hospital radio in Basingstoke is celebrating an incredible 50 years of radio broadcasting at the hospital.
On April 25 the radio station kicked off a series of programs and events to celebrate reaching the massive milestone.
The celebration continues on April 28 at 6pm when a special show will be aired, which will document the last 50 years of the radio.
This will then be followed by more programs and events including a fashion show, family fun day and even a very special quiz night.
On top of this, the radio station is now calling for resident's help and they are keen to hear about memories and experiences where the hospital radio has touched and helped lives.
A spokesperson for the radio said: “We want to hear about your memories and experiences where hospital radio in Basingstoke has touched your lives.
"Have you ever requested a song? Did the music or presenters help you with your time at hospital? You can get in touch at pr@hrbasingstoke.co.uk and we may even ask you to tell us your stories in person and you will get to appear on the radio as part of the celebrations.”

Hospital Radio Basingstoke is a registered charity that broadcasts 24 hours a day to the patients and staff of Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
It is broadcast through the free radio service on the Hospedia terminals, which are installed at almost all beds within the hospital.
The team is run entirely by volunteers, who regularly give up their spare time to keep the show on air and entertain all the listeners across the hospital.
Residents can listen to the special celebration radio show live, here: hrbasingstoke.co.uk.
