A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a Basingstoke man accused of driving while four times the legal drug limit.
On February 2, Mark Archer, of Bernstein Road, allegedly drove his VW Golf along Gershwin Road with 200 ug/l of Benzoylecgonine - a compound of controlled drug cocaine - in his system.
The legal limit is 50.
On April 14 at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, a warrant was issued for the 51-year-old’s arrest.
AN OAKLEY man has been fined more than £200 after he admitted to drink driving in the town last month.
On March 27, Mark Hessey, of Pardown, drove along the A339 in Basingstoke with 43 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit is 35.
At Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on April 14, the 41-year-old admitted to the offence.
He was handed a £240 fine and must also pay costs of £85 and a £34 surcharge.
Hessey was also disqualified from driving for a three-year period.
A TEENAGER from Hook has admitted to driving while disqualified last year.
Liam Thompson, of Bell Meadow Road, drove a Ford Focus on Fleet Road in Hartley Wintney on October 30, 2021.
The 19-year-old was disqualified from holding a driving licence at the time.
At Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on April 19, Thompson pleaded guilty to the offence.
District Judge Tim Pattinson remanded him on unconditional bail until his next hearing at the same court on May 25.
A CHINEHAM man has been fined more than £300 for damaging an automatic door at Marks and Spencer in Festival Place.
On March 16, Brandon Dishman, of Talmey Close, criminally damaged the property of the Basingstoke store.
At Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on April 19, the 19-year-old was handed a £310 fine.
He must also pay costs of £85.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been handed a fine after he assaulted another person in the town.
Matt Donaldson, of Flaxfield Court, assaulted a man on January 10.
The 29-year-old admitted to the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on April 21.
District Judge Tim Pattinson handed him a £120 fine.
He must also pay compensation of £100 and a £34 surcharge.
A BASINGSTOKE woman has been handed a fine after she shoplifted £40 worth of goods.
On February 22, Debbie Cottrell, of Spinney Court, stole food to the value of £40.10 from Iceland in Basingstoke.
The 42-year-old pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on April 21. She was handed a £40 fine and must also pay a £34 surcharge.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been handed a fine for possession of cannabis.
On April 2, Ciaran Boyle of Cayman Close, had in his possession a quantity of the Class B controlled drug.

A BASINGSTOKE man has been handed a community order after admitting to three counts of assault by beating.
Between February 15 and March 7 this year, Jack Clarke, of Watson Way, assaulted a woman in the town on three occasions.
At Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Monday, April 25, the 27-year-old pleaded guilty to all three counts.
He was handed a community order consisting of a Building Better Relationships work programme, and 10 rehabilitation activity days.
Clarke was also ordered to pay £60 in compensation, as well as costs of £40 and a £95 surcharge.
