A BASINGSTOKE man has denied murder after a man died in Popley.
Jordan Graham Clarke, 25, of no fixed abode, appeared at Winchester Crown Court this morning (Tuesday, May 3) to enter a plea of not guilty.
Police were called at around 10.45pm on Wednesday January 19, following a report of a 22-year-old man having been found with two stab wounds in Abbey Road, near the junction with Popley Way.
He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The deceased man has today been named as Troy Harkness.
Clarke will now be remanded in custody until the trial at Winchester on July 18.
Two other men, both 19-years-old and from Basingstoke, were arrested on suspicion of robbery as part of the enquiries but have since been bailed.
