A BASINGSTOKE man has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery as part of an ongoing police investigation after a man died in Popley.
As previously reported, police were called around 10.45pm on Wednesday, January 19, following a report of a 22-year-old man having been found with a serious injury in Abbey Road, near the junction with Popley Way.
He was taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead.
Zack Mason, 19, of no fixed abode, has been charged with conspire to commit robbery.
He has been released on conditional bail and is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 26 May.
A 19-year-old man, from Waterlooville, was also arrested on suspicion of conspire to commit robbery, but has been released on conditional bail.

It comes after Jordan Clarke, 25, of no fixed abode appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Tuesday, May 3 to enter a plea of not guilty on the charge of murder.
Clarke will now be remanded in custody until the trial at Winchester on July 18.
