THE Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council elections have come to an end with Conservatives losing four seats but holding onto the majority.
Labour also lost one seat while Lib Dems gained two and the Independents gained three, plus the additional by-election seat.
The new makeup of the council is: Conservative 29, Labour 10, Independent eight and Lib Dem seven.
