Organised by Basingstoke Deane Rotary and supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, this year’s show was a complete sell out with 900 vehicles registered and 80 trade/charity stalls attending.
One of the vehicles at the fest was a 1975 Volkswagen Kombi Microbus named ‘Fred’.
He was manufactured in Brazil and spent the first 40+ years as a taxi in and around Sao Paulo. It’s current owner imported him in the UK in 2018 and after a long and expensive process, got him on the road the following year.
The Microbus with a 1500-engine is currently being used a café – Café Cubano.
The Gazette's photographer Sean Dillow was snapping away and put together this fantastic selection of pictures to capture the day. Do you spot anyone you know?
