A BASINGSTOKE man has been fined hundreds of pounds after he went onto the pitch during an FA Cup game at Millwall earlier this year.

Simon Sainsbury, 52, of Oceana Crescent, Beggarwood, went onto the playing area during Millwall’s cup tie against Crystal Palace on January 8, this year.

Sainsbury appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on April 27 where he pleaded guilty to the offence.

Magistrates fined him £333. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
