A BASINGSTOKE man who was caught behind the wheel while on his mobile phone has been fined hundreds of pounds.
Andrew Kevin Collins, 50, of Coates Close, was spotted on September 16, last year, while driving a Ford on the M5 at Exeter.

The case was heard at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on April 26 and was proved via single justice procedure – where a magistrate judges the case on the basis of the papers alone without either party having to attend court for a hearing.
Collins was fined £220 and had his licence endorsed with six points. He must also pay £90 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
