A DRINK driver has been arrested after they were caught approaching Black Dam Roundabout with a tree branching hanging out the bumper of their vehicle.
On Tuesday (May 10), whilst driving along the A339 Ringway East approaching the Black Dam roundabout, a vehicle caught the attention of Basingstoke's PCSOs Page and Doherty.
The vehicle was being driven with a completely shredded front tyre and damage to the front of the vehicle complete with a tree branch hanging out the bumper.
The vehicle eventually stopped and the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle whilst being unfit to drive through alcohol and taken to custody.
They later provided a positive result (over three times the legal limit for alcohol) on the evidential breathalyser machine and they remain in custody at this time.
