A TEENAGER from Hook has been forced to pay more than 70 times the cost of her train ticket after she attempted to travel without paying.
On October 28 2021, Charlotte Arwen Readhead, of Bagwell Lane, Winchfield, Hook, was caught travelling on a Great Western Railway service at Reading, having not paid her £9.50 fare.
The 18-year-old was found guilty in her absence at Reading Magistrates' Court on Friday, May 6.
She was fined £440, plus costs of £180 and a surcharge of £44.
She was also ordered to pay the £9.50 train ticket price, making a total of £673.
