Campaigners who have been protesting to stop a distribution warehouse at Basingstoke Gateway being built gave their support to Maria Miller MP for her efforts to stop the development.
Mrs Miller has urged the housing and planning minister to call-in the application under the powers available to the Government.
Clean Air Green Environment (CAGE), the campaign group which have been protesting the warehouse plans, expressed their support for Mrs Miller’s call-in request.

Christine Northam, who founded the group, said: “CAGE supports the call-in request made by Maria Miller, Kit Malthouse and 4 other local MPs on the Oakdown Farm site.
“CAGE and the local Parish Council have also requested a call-in on this very important decision.
“We support all the reasons Maria Miller MP gives in her press release. She will be addressing the Planning Committee on Wednesday May 18 when they meet.
“We very much hope that all the councillors on the committee (DC) will be fully informed about the strong reasons why this plan should be refused.”
Mrs Miller’s intervention came after the Newlands Developments submitted a revised planning application to the council for the new distribution hub on the land.
In October last year, members of the council’s development control committee had refused Newlands’ previous application - understood to be earmarked for Amazon.
The amended application is 65 per cent smaller than the previous application - down from 271,000 square metres to 101,000 square metres. The height of the buildings has also been reduced between two and three metres across the site.
However, Mrs Miller said she has written a formal objection to the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council as part of the consultation on the application.
