A LEADING mental health arts festival is returning for its 7th year.
All in the Mind, the UK’s leading outdoor mental health arts festival is returning for its 7th year; the festival will take place on Saturday, September 10 at Glebe Gardens in Basingstoke, and will be open from 11am to 6pm.
The festival is free to attend.
Bringing together a broad range of music, dance, comedy, spoken word and theatre, the festival promises to be a feel-good day out for all the family, whilst also celebrating the power of arts to improve mental health.
The festival will be divided into zones, each of which will be packed with family friendly shows and activities, from inspirational and quirky performances to fun, interactive workshops, nature trails, a solar-powered carousal, as well as delicious food and drink.

The event will conclude with a community parade.
Leigh Johnson, Artistic Director of festival organisers Fluid Motion Theatre Company, said: “I can’t wait to welcome back festivalgoers in 2022!
“All in the Mind is such a great day out for the whole family and we have an incredible line-up this year, all themed around nature and how it can support our wellbeing.
“The festival is always free to attend thanks to the support of our funders, especially Arts Council England – and with the cost-of-living crisis hitting many of us hard, fund and free events like ours are more vital than ever before.”
All in the Mind festival was first held in Basingstoke in 2016; the festival is now in its 7th year.
A fun-filled mix of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy, the festival aims to challenge mental health stigmas and promote how coming together and enjoying the arts can have a positive impact on mental wellbeing.

During the pandemic in 2020, the festival was held online to more than 10,000 people; last year over 4,000 people attended the event, and the organisers are looking forward to welcoming even more people in 2022.
The festival is organised by Fluid Motion Theatre Company, an arts organisation and registered charity based in Basingstoke that is dedicated to supporting and improving mental health.
