DRIVERS in and around Basingstoke and Deane will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A27, from 8pm March 7 to 6am May 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34, A308M, A404, A303, A31, A3M, A3, A27, M4, M27, M271 and M3 whole lengths, mobile lane closures for drainage works.
And a further two closures will begin over the two weeks:
• A303, from 8pm May 26 to 6am May 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, M3 to Popham services, Lane closure for BT Openreach works.
• A34, from 8pm June 6 to 6am June 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Tothill to Beacon Hill, Lane closures for signage repairs.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
