Planning permission has been granted for the development of a new production facility (creamery) for Hampshire Cheese Company. The creamery will be located adjacent to Newlyns Farm Shop.
The new premises will enable Hampshire Cheese Company to significantly expand production to meet demand for its award winning Tunworth and Winslade cheeses.
Founder Stacey Hedges said: “I am really proud of the consistent quality of our Tunworth and Winslade cheeses. With our new premises, we have an opportunity to continue making the best possible cheeses, build our brand and increase our range of products.”
There is an increasing appetite for food lovers to understand the progeny and process of food manufacture. With the design of the Hampshire Cheese Company’s new creamery and its location adjacent to Newlyn’s, visitors will be able to experience cheese making from factory floor to tasting room.
