A STREET is holding a party to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, with an age difference of 90 years between the oldest and youngest attendees.
Residents of Eastfield Avenue are holding a street party to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Over 70 residents of Eastfield Avenue will attend the party, which will take place on Saturday, May 4, and will see the street decorated with red, white and blue bunting.
Attendees will celebrate the Jubilee with glasses of Prosecco, as well as a meal of fish and chips.
There will also be a range of games and activities to entertain guests, with some of the games being almost 100 years old, alongside a raffle, and plenty of things for children to do.

Almost every resident of the street will attend the street party, with an almost 90-year age gap between the oldest and youngest attendees.
At the age of 94, Primrose Scrivens is the oldest resident of Eastfield Avenue.
Born in 1928, Primrose spent most of her life in Chineham before later moving to Eastfield Avenue.
She has lived on the street for almost 43 years.
Primrose was 25 when The Queen was crowned in 1953, and she remembers watching the coronation.
Primrose said: “I think I watched the coronation on the telly with my family.
“Not many people had a TV in those days, but we were lucky, and we had one.
“Everything was very different back then!”

Primrose has been crowned “Queen of the street” by other residents of Eastfield Avenue, and has been given a tiara to wear during the street party.
Meanwhile, the youngest person on the street who will attend the party is Sammy Tomlinson, 4.
A pupil of St John’s Primary School, Sammy is looking forward to the Jubilee party, with his mum Rachel saying that he is “very excited”.
Rachel continued: “He’s been taught a bit about it in school, so he understands what’s going on and why it’s important, and he’s very excited to attend the party and celebrate The Queen’s Jubilee.”
Members of the public will be able to enjoy a 4-day long bank holiday to celebrate the jubilee.
The bank holiday starts on Thursday, June 2, and ends on Sunday, June 5.
