A 17-year-old Basingstoke boy remains in police custody after he was arrested on suspicion of murder as part of the investigation into the death of Frantisek Olah.

Officers were called at 11.14pm on Sunday, May 22 to a house in Musgrave Close, Basingstoke.

Frantisek Olah, 31, was found inside with serious injuries and he was later pronounced dead.

A post mortem recorded that Frantisek had sustained stab wounds.

The teenager was arrested on May 29 on suspicion of murder in Southampton, while a 18-year-old woman from Basingstoke, who was was arrested on May 28 on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on police bail until June 25.

So far a total of seven arrests have been made.

Two people have already been charged with Frantisek Olah's murder. Ismaila Kamarra-Jarra, 18, of no fixed abode, and a 17-year-old boy from Basingstoke, have been remanded to appear at Winchester Crown Court today (May 30).

Meanwhile an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both from Basingstoke, had previously been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They were released under investigation on Wednesday, May 25.

On Friday, May 27, an 18-year-old woman from Basingstoke was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been bailed until June 24 while enquiries continue.

DI Howard Broadribb from Major Crime said: “I would like to thank the public for their support in sharing our appeals, and to reiterate that we believe there is no wider risk to the public at this time.

“Our enquiries remain ongoing and we would appeal for anyone with information, no matter how small they think it might be, to contact us.

Last week his family paid tribute to him.

They said: “Words cannot describe the grief and shock our family is experiencing.

“We are devastated. We have lost our beloved Frantisek. He was a son, a brother and a father.

"We express our deepest gratitude to those who are working tirelessly to obtain justice.

“Frantisek's legacy will live on through his two beautiful and amazing children."
