CHILDREN at a school in Odiham started their jubilee celebrations early and in style as they broke up for their half term holiday.
Pupils at Mayhill Junior School were treated to an amazing outdoor party, with their newly resurfaced sports pitch transformed into a sea of red, white and blue, laid on by staff and assisted by the school’s parent teacher association.
They also feasted on cake from the almost 100 jubilee themed cake entries in their school bake off competition.
The children of both Mayhill and Odiham’s infant school, Buryfields, were also all gifted a bespoke jubilee coin memento.

This was arranged by local community group inOdiham, who’s chairman, Hart District councillor Jon Hale said: “Our volunteers were very keen that we did something really special to mark this historic event for our community’s children.
“We hope that these mementos, that we have funded for circa 400 children through our various community events, will help provide a lasting and special memory for our local children.”
