LARGE crowds attended a jubilee event in Basingstoke last weekend, which is set to become an annual event.
Basingstoke Rugby Football Club and Global Kitchen Catering and Events finished off the weekend of celebrations in style, with a hog roast, barbecue and picnic.
Sean Johnson and Joe Stone spoiled the crowds with their singing and entertainment skills.
Thanks have been given to the Royal British Legion, RAF Association and Feed Me Cake for supporting the event and making it such a success.
One of the organisers said: “It was so much fun, we are turning it into an annual event. Thanks to everyone who came.”
A post on Basingstoke Rugby Club’s Facebook added: “The day wouldn’t have been what it was without you, the people of Basingstoke, what a crowd. Thank you so much for attending, we hope you had a great day!”
