POWER forward George Norcliffe has re-signed for the Basingstoke Bison for next season, writes Graham Merry.
It will be his fourth year with the Herd and he has produced a steady points improvement every campaign.
Last season, the 28-year-old returned 47 points from all games played hitting the net 23 times.
This tied him fourth in the team for goal scorers and he certainly scored a number of memorable strikes.
The Guildford-born forward learnt his hockey in Surrey before making his senior debut for the Solent Devils and after spells in Streatham and Bracknell, arrived in Basingstoke in the autumn of 2018 and has been a firm favourite ever since.
Bison head coach Ashley Tait said: “He is now a proven 20 goals a season man and is a massive part of this team, making a real impact on the ice.”
“He is one of those players who you just cannot stop when he decides to make a rush on net. We now have to help him develop into an even more potent goal scorer.”
Norcliffe is the fourth Bison player to re-sign this season along with fellow British forward Zack Milton and netminders Alex Mettam and Jordan Lawday.
