One lane on a major motorway has been reopened following a traffic incident on M3 this morning (Tuesday, June 21).

The incident happened between J6 and J5 on M3 northbound.

The two junctions are for A339 to Basingstoke and A287 to Hook.

One lane was closed for nearly an hour following the incident.

Although lanes are now reopened, delays are expected to continue for some more time.

We have contacted the Hampshire Constabulary, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Services and the South Central Ambulance Service for more details.
