RESIDENTS are invited to meet the former Stig in Basingstoke next month as he pays a very special visit to the town.
Residents can join car dealer J Davy in Basingstoke for their open day on July 1 where celebrity guest Ben Collins will celebrate the dealership’s warranty programme relaunch.
Best known as ‘the man in the white suit’ following his 8 year stint as The Stig from BBC’s Top Gear, Ben Collins set the benchmark of speed against which all other drivers challenged themselves.

Having coached countless celebrities around the race track, organised high voltage car chases and tested hundreds of priceless vehicles, it’s fair to say that he’s earned his reputation as one of the world’s best drivers.
Ben will be attending J Davy in Basingstoke to promote the dealer’s new warranty packages which are provided by Warranty Solutions Group.
He said: “J Davy is a fantastic dealer that always goes the extra mile for their customers. I’m really excited to be supporting their business with this event and of course helping to raise lots of money for such a worthy cause. It’s going to be great fun!”
There will be a free barbecue, charity car wash and a raffle with lots of great prizes including personalised signed Ben Collins books.
All proceeds from the raffle are being donated to Spotlight UK, which is a charity that provides emotional and practical support to children and young adults in need across Hampshire and Berkshire.

Doors will open at 10.30am and Ben will be available for meet and greets, photo opportunities and autographs until 7pm.
