OUR beloved pets mean everything to us and have been our cuddly companions throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
This is why we launched the Basingstoke Gazette and Andover Advertiser Pet Idol 2022 competition, to give a platform to doting dogs, cuddly cats and huggable hamsters.
Animal lovers from across Basingstoke and Andover have been telling us all about the antics of their furry friends and just how much their pets have meant to them during the pandemic.
This year we had 92 entries for the competition. Among them there were dogs, cats, bunnies and even a horse, snake and lambs.
All the pets have been featured in this week's Basingstoke Gazette (out on Thursday, June 23) and Andover Advertiser (out on Friday, June 24).
We're now looking for votes from our readers to decide which furry or fabulous friend should be crowned this year's winners.
The gallery above shows 16 of the the 92 finalists.
To vote for your favourite pet, buy the Gazette or the Advertiser and fill in the voting slip published in the suppliment.
The winner will scoop £50 of vouchers and will make a special appearance in the Basingstoke Gazette and Andover Advertiser and online.
