A MAN from Hampshire has shared the moment he dangled his legs off the top of the Southampton's tallest building.
George Tearle from Sholing was seen by residents in Ocean Village on the Centenary Quay development in Woolston on Wednesday.
Although this was not the first time the 20-year-old has been onto the roof, he said it was the first time he has been caught.
George said that he heads to the roof to have a cup of tea and watch the sunset, and is often accompanied by friends.
He said: ""As simple as it is, I just get up there so I can get away from down here.
"I go up there with my camera and I just enjoy the sunset. That's all there is to it.
"There are people that go out to break things and cause mayhem but we're not like that at all.
"We do it just to see the view, to chill out and to get some cool photos.
"We're not trying to cause anyone any harm."
On Wednesday night police were called at around 9.33pm as people reported a man on the roof.
CCTV footage was reviewed by officers who said that the man was not felt to be acting suspiciously.
