A BASINGSTOKE fitness instructor is among 27 local indie businesses that won lifestyle awards across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Jenna Perkins of Choreofit has been named the best fitness instructor at the Muddy Stilettos 2022 Awads.
Watership Down Inn in Freefolk, Whitchurch, has been named Best Boutique Stay, while Wild Rose Floral Design in Whitchurch has been named the best Florist in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Readers of the Muddy Stilettos lifestyle website (https://muddystilettos.co.uk) have been nominating and voting for their favourite independent businesses across 27 different lifestyle categories, from Best Destination Pub to Best Yoga/Pilates Studio, Best Boutique Stay and Best Wedding Venue, shining a light on the most creative, unique indie businesses in our local counties.
Around 75,000 businesses were nominated across the Awards in total, with 765,000 votes cast in total as part of the national lifestyle awards, making it the most popular Muddy Awards to date.
All regional winners in Hampshire and Isle of Wight will automatically be put through to the inaugural National Muddy Stilettos Awards 2022.
Five successful finalists per category will be shortlisted to go into the National Finals to be announced in September, with the ‘Best of the Best’ Winners crowned in October.
Hero Brown, founder and Editor-in-chief of Muddy Stilettos, said: “I set up these awards nine years ago to give local lifestyle businesses a chance to shout about how brilliant they are. After two years of multiple lockdowns and a hard climb out of such disruption, it’s been an honour to showcase the most awesome lifestyle businesses across Hampshire & Isle of Wight, in partnership with Healthily and our local sponsor, Wightlink Isle of Wight Ferries.
“The response to this year’s Muddy Awards has been astonishing – thousands and thousands voted giving such a fantastic boost and a well-deserved pat-on-the-back to so many. I hope it will give the winning businesses even greater confidence to keep persevering, growing and being creative.”
