Sumner top scored in the match with 38, as Oakley were bowled out for 109 against Ashford Hill. Ben Osborne 5-17 and Tom Moore 2-27 were their top bowlers.
Sumner then turned destroyer with the ball taking a brilliant 6-6, while James Bayliss took 2-22 as Ashford were bowled out for just 80, with Wayne Good making 19 of them.
The next Trophy game is on Thursday July 14, when Aldermaston Rugby take on Rotherwick ITW. The game starts at May’s Bounty at 6pm.
The next game in the Guy Jewell Cup takes place on Monday July 11, which sees Odiham and Greywell face Rotherfield Park with a place in the semi-final up for grabs.
