A 92-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Oakridge.
Hampshire Constabulary has now confirmed that officers were called to the house in Maple Crescent at 3.23am on July 6 to a report of an incident.

They found a woman in her 80s with non-life-threatening injuries and she was taken to Basingstoke hospital.
A 92-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.
Neighbours reported hearing sirens at around 4am.
Police have been positioned outside the semi-detached house all morning and have cordoned off the property.
One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said he woke to find a police car parked outside at 8.30am.
He said: “It’s usually very quiet around here.”
