A POPULAR Basingstoke leisure facility will reopen this weekend, after an extended closure due to maintenance and safety works.

However, the council has now confirmed that it will reopen this weekend.
Posting to twitter, a spokesperson said: "We are pleased to say that the water quality tests at the splash pad have now been completed and that the facility can reopen at the weekend (Saturday, July 9).
"Thank you for your patience while we resolved this issue."
